Upon arrival, you will feel as though you have been transported to France. La Provence D’Afrique has beautiful sculptures, French décor and architecture throughout. From cladded murals to the beautiful archways, water features and large fireplaces.
You will be warmly welcomed as you walk through the doors and shown to your beautiful French-themed room. The French suites and little street café were built inside famous South African Sculptor, Charles Gotthard’s old stone house studio.
You will find some of his works around the accommodation as well.
Set along the Magaliesburg river and the forest.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast, a romantic picnic for two and couples’ massages at the little Zen spa.

Accommodation at La Provence D’ Afrique

There are seven beautiful French suites to choose from at La Provence D’ Afrique, each one with beautiful and luxurious décor and amenities to give you an authentic French getaway experience. All rooms have French names to suit the decor.
The rooms at La Provence D’ Afrique come equipped with beautiful French four-poster beds, en-suite bathrooms with beautiful Victorian baths, antique pieces of furniture, embroidered linen with incredible attention to detail, and an entrance that leads out onto the little ‘street’ with a beautiful three tier fountain, two large cosy fireplaces, a communal lounge seating area with board games and cast iron tables and chairs, where you can sit and enjoy your dinner basket.
Some rooms have their own fireplace and fresh flower arrangements, adding to the romantic French atmosphere.

“We treated ourselves to a Valentine’s special at this quaint little place. There is just so much attention to detail. Our room was a real treat and had a huge fireplace with two comfy rockers. Plenty of roses and chocolates as promised. The staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough to ensure that we were well taken care of. The food was really good and well presented.” Gavin

A massive MERCI to Marguerite and her team at La Provence D’ Afrique for an unforgettable experience.  The venue is beautiful and the food absolutely delicious.  From the moment you arrive you are welcomed and doted on.  You are made to feel so special.  The picnic basket idea for dinner is so authentic and lovely and just adds to the romance of the venue.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we look forward to booking again soon. Dining at La Provence D’ Afrique

For breakfast, you can enjoy a brunch picnic basket packed with home-cooked food. You can savor this meal on the banks of the Berg River or in the beautiful forest with your partner, friends or family.

Furthermore, for dinner, head to the Street Café just outside your room. Here, you can sit down at our quaint French tables and chairs and enjoy a wonderful meal.

The old vintage 1927 Chevy truck at La Provence D’ Afrique is the quaint little pop-up bar.
Here, you can indulge in delightful sundowners, cocktails, sherry, port, Irish coffee, or even a hot chocolate if you prefer. Moreover, the charming ambiance adds to the experience, making it an ideal spot to relax and unwind.
