Rules for Dog Owners
Good doggies are allowed by prior arrangement only.
Unfortunately we do not allow cats, because the idiom actually exists: “They fought like cats and dogs.“
Add to that, cats will roam and can easily go missing.
To allow for a pleasant stay, please read the following.
In booking your stay, you agree that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this section
- Pet Registration: All dogs must be registered at the front desk upon check-in. A maximum of 2 dogs per room is allowed.
- Identification: Doggies must have a collar with his/her identification tag on at all times.
- Prevent accidental drowning: All doggies must have life jackets, available for a very reasonable price on Takealot.com – CLICK HERE for options.
Even if your doggie is used to swimming, our venue is situated along the riverside with direct access to a flowing river. This is not a pool, your precious cargo can easily be swept away and overwhelmed. - Leash Policy: Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while outside of your room. Please ensure leashes are no longer than 3m to maintain control.
- Noise Control: To ensure a peaceful environment for all guests, please prevent your dog from excessive barking or noise. If a noise complaint is received, you may be asked to make alternative arrangements for your dog.
- Clean Up: Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Waste bags are provided throughout the property; please use them and dispose of waste in designated bins.
- Supervision: Dogs should not be left unattended in guest rooms.
- Health and Vaccinations: Dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations and free of fleas and ticks. Proof of vaccination may be requested.
- Damage: Any damage caused by your dog will be charged to your room. Please ensure your dog does not chew or scratch furniture, doors, or other property.
- Bathing: Do not bathe your dog in the guest room bathrooms. Please make sure your dogs are booked for a wash and groom before you arrive.
- Aggressive Behavior: Dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior towards other guests or pets will not be tolerated. If your dog shows signs of aggression, you will be asked to remove them from the premises immediately.
- Emergency Contacts: Please provide a contact number where you can be reached if there are any issues with your dog during your stay.
